About ShimiliaB: Care Agent, Educator, Career Architect
I believe in the power of long-term partnerships built on trust, expertise, and transformation.
My approach to textured hair care isn't transactional—it's relational. I work with a carefully curated roster of clients who understand that exceptional hair doesn't happen in a single appointment; it's cultivated over time through precision, consistency, and deep knowledge of what your hair truly needs. Together, we embark on a journey to discover the specific combination of techniques, products, and rituals that unlock its fullest potential. This is high-touch service at its finest: every consultation is thorough, every treatment is intentional, and every style reflects months or years of partnership. My clients don't just leave with beautiful hair—they leave empowered, confident, and clear on how to maintain their results. This level of care, this depth of trust, this commitment to excellence became the standard for everything I do. Its luxury redefined—not as excess, but as the refusal to compromise on quality, integrity, or results.
This work began on a small island in Trinidad, where I was that girl with thick hair that intimidated most stylists.
I was made to feel like my texture was too difficult, too much. When I moved to Florida and stepped into cosmetology school, I realized the science I'd always loved had a place in understanding how hair works. Eleven years later, I'm still in awe. My methodology sits at the intersection of science, art and devotion. I see maps in my mind—systems that make the complex feel simple. I document every client's journey with the precision of a scientist and the care of an artist. My passion is expressed through conversations that transform—facilitating dialogues that expose you to a wisdom that will transform the mind-body connection of who you see in your head and what is reflected back.
But I didn't stop at doing great hair—I redesigned my entire career.
This industry has no ladder. No promotions. No clear path from "booked solid" to "actually thriving." So, I designed one. I rebuilt my pricing structure, created systems that honored my life outside the salon, and designed a business model that let me serve fewer clients at a higher level while creating space to teach. Now, I help other textured hair stylists do the same through VIP intensive days, coaching, and soon-to-launch online education. I show stylists how to refine their craft with precision while redesigning their business, so their career serves their life—not the other way around. My ultimate goal? Hair education. To transfer my love and my lens to future hairstylists, creating an army of care advocates leading the textured hair lane. Because advancement in this industry isn't given. It's designed.
These two parts of my business aren't separate—they're proof of concept.
I'm not teaching theory from the sidelines. I'm actively doing the work: serving high-value clients who respect my expertise, prices that reflect the value of delivery, maintaining boundaries that protect my energy, and building additional revenue streams that don't require me to be behind the chair 60 hours a week. I own my life by designing my career, and that's exactly what I teach. I serve the clients I want. I build businesses I'd want to be a customer of. I connect women—whether they're sitting in my chair or learning from my coaching—to communities where there's more of us. As I've said many times: "I love the fact that I get to support women in an area that is so personal. They trust my genius in the exploration and end up discovering and amplifying their true essence." This work is sacred, and I'm honored to contribute to it every day. Unique and resilient, my passion for textured hair is a light to all. And I'm here to show you that this is what's possible when you stop waiting for permission and start architecting intentionally.
